ITINERARY

 

The program of Multiactive tour around Kyrgyzstan 2 includes visiting the most interesting historical and natural landmarks of Kyrgyzstan. The cultural and educational excursions are alternated with horse riding and trips to mountains gorges, picturesque waterfalls and beautiful lakes. You will get an opportunity to get acquainted with every-day life of the nomads, their traditions, cuisine and folklore.

Activities: horse back riding, walk in the mountains and experience the culture of Kyrgyz people.

Program day by day:
Day 1. Airport – Bishkek

Arrival to Manas Airport in Bishkek where our team will pick up you and drive you to hotel situated in the capital. You can have a rest in cozy and comfortable rooms after the flight.

After breakfast in hotel, we start our city tour. We will visit the heart of the city, Ala-Too Square where the State Historical Museum is located. After the tour in the museum, we can enjoy a walk in the Oak Park, one of the favorite places of local people. Bishkek is known as the greenest city in Central Asia thanks to its countless parks and alleys making the city a great place to live. 

After lunch, we will have time to visit the local market Osh bazar. Here you can appreciate the creativity and talent of local artisans. Just as you step the market, you plunge into the real oriental atmosphere: an interminable stream of people, a big variety of goods and colors.

In the evening, we go to one of the best restaurants in Bishkek where you can taste delicious Kyrgyz national dishes.

Day 2. Bishkek – Burana – Chon Kemin

After breakfast in Bishkek, we go towards Burana Tower located about 80 km from the capital. Burana Tower is an ancient minaret in the Chuy Valley in the north part of Kyrgyzstan. It is close to the city of Tokmok. The tower with funerary monuments, earthworks, remains of the castle and three mausoleums – that’s all what last out of the ancient Balasagyn town that was founded by Karakhanids at the end of the ninth century.

After we keep our way towards Chon Kemin gorge. It is unique place thanks to its unbelievable beauty and its rich diversity of fauna and flora. You will have the opportunity to hike in the gorge and enjoy the beautiful alpine views.

Day 3. Chon Kemin - Toru-Aigyr (Trek)

After breakfast transfer to the tour starting point along Chong-Kemin River. Slopes of this area are covered by fir forests. We start our trek.

We have a picnic on the road and continue to walk through the forest till Toru-Aigyr. Here we set up the camp.  Dinner and overnight stay in a tent.

Trek time: 6 hours.

Day 4. Toru-Aigyr – Kogur lake (Trek)

After breakfast we start hiking towards Kol-Kogur lake at 2 500 meters. This mountainous lake has a unique trapezoidal shape.   On the shore of the lake, we set up the camp and enjoy the wonderful sceneries around us. Dinner and overnight stay in a tent.

Trek time: 5-6 hours.

Day 5. Kol – Kogur – Cholpon Ata /Issyk Kul (Trek)

Today is the last day of the trek. From Kol-Kogur lake we keep our trail to Tamchy pass (3 400 meters). Short break for a lunch as we crosse the pass.

Then we go to Achyk-Tash Jailoo where car picks us up and transfers us to the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, the pearl of the Kyrgyz land. Enjoy the lakeside and swim in refreshing waters of the lake after trek.

Overnight and dinner at guesthouse. 

 

Day 6. Cholpon-Ata – Grigoriev and Semienov gorge – Karakol

After the breakfast, we go towards Grigoriev and Semienov gorge.

They are located on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, 60 kilometers from Cholpon-Ata.

These places are considered as the most famous attractions of the Issyk Kul region. We drive to the the first lake at Grigoriev Gorge and we will have a picnic on the shore (if the weather is nice).

You can have a walk, enjoy the wild nature around you and have a pleasant pastime in this beautiful place.

In the evening, we get the city of Karakol.

Day 7. Karakol – Karakol gorge- Sirota camp (Trek)

Today you start your 4 days trek.

After breakfast, we drive you to the gorge of Karakol where you start your trek with the local guide. You walk towards the Sirota tent camp located at altitude of 2,800 meters. Following your trail along the Karakol River, you will see the yurts the pastures with horses and other beautiful landscapes that strike your eyes.

Trek time: ~ 4-5 h

Day 8. Sirota - Ala Kul lake (3 500 m) - Ala Kul Pass (3 800 m) - Keldike (Trek)

The trail takes us along the river and small waterfalls. After a few hours of hiking, you get Ala Kul Lake, the glacier lake that changes its colors according to the weather. When you reach the pass, you will have a spectacular view on the lake and mountain peaks around you.

After the road go through a gentle descent into the Keldike valley (3000 m).

Trek time: ~ 5 h

Day 9. Keldike - Altyn Arashan (Trek)

Today, our goal is to reach the hot springs of Altyn Arashan.

The 4 hours walk is very fascinating and exciting. You admire the rich vegetation, the luminous carpet of flowers and the emerald grass.

Arriving at the beautiful Altyn-Arashan gorge, which is situated 2450 m above sea level.  swimming in the hot springs.

Trek time: ~ 4-5 h

Day 10. Altyn Arashan – Karakol (Trek)

You walk down through pastures and pine forests. The car is waiting for you and we drive you to Karakol.  As we get Karakol town, we visit its famous sights as Russian Orthodox cathedral and Dungan mosque and we have dinner with Uighur family, and you can taste the typical dish of this region ¨ ashlyam fuu¨.

Trek time: ~ 4-5 h

Day 11.  Karakol – Jety Oguz- Barskoon – Tamga

After breakfast, we keep our road to Jety Oguz valley. Its name means “Seven bulls”. The name is symbolic, because there are seven huge red-brown rocks resembling ranked furious bulls standing together. Especially romantic look has the rock "Broken Heart" located at the entrance to the gorge. There we take a walk to the waterfall.

After we visit the Barskoon Gorge with impressive nature. At the end of the road, you can see the waterfall called Tears of Snow Leopard.

In the evening, you will try a real Russian bath "banya" in Tamga.

Day 12. Tamga – Skazka – Bokonbaevo – Kuiruchuk

In the morning, we go towards Kuiruchuk village by the south shore of the lake.

On the road, we visit Skazka canyons, which signify Fairytale. Here you can find objects of surprising shapes and sizes. A real skyscraper or an animal may appear in front of you.

In Bokonbaevo, we will meet the real eagle hunters who demonstrate you the talent of their birds of prey.

In Kochkor, the Kyrgyz women show you the process of producing traditional felt handicrafts.

Day 13. Kuiruchuk– Son Kul

Today we keep our road to Son Kul Lake, so we should overcome a mountain pass called Shilbill. From the pass, Son Kul Lake seems very small, but as we go down and approach the lake, it appears as a big and gorgeous lake.

 When we arrive in the yurt camp, you get to know the hospitality of the nomads, their lifestyle and their customs. We will have a dinner with the nomads and sleep in the yurts.

Note: yurt capacity 6 people. But during the low season you can be accommodated 2 pax per yurt according to the availability.

Day 14.  Son-Kul – Bishkek

The road to Bishkek passes through Boom gorge. You can take pictures of this beauty and breathtaking sceneries.

After lunch in local restaurant, we will have time to visit the local markets and buy some presents. You will not leave the bazar unsatisfied; you will surely find something that you were looking for reminding you about Kyrgyzstan and your unforgettable trip here.

Dinner with traditional folk show at traditional restaurant in Bishkek.

Day 15. Bishkek – Airport- Departure 

Transfer to the airport. Departure.
